We purchased an ambulance for Kristina Health Clinic about 8 years ago. It has helped us directly save dozens of lives by giving us the ability to transport patients to KHC, and critical care patients to the hospital in Lira about 40 km away. It's also our best option for transporting critical medication and equipment to the clinic, rather than waiting for deliveries that are sometimes late. And with our growing maternity services, demand for the ambulance is increasing. But 8 years of driving on bumpy dirt roads has taken its toll. We are now in need of a new vehicle. And while the cost of living in Northern Uganda is relatively low, vehicles are not.
Thank you for your support of AUCF, Kristina Health Clinic, and our fundraising campaign to purchase a new ambulance. We're about $5,000 short of our goal!
