600 computers for 600 Japanese Orphanages

As our first computers were purchased in 2013, we continue to receive and deploy new laptops that are donated to the homes.

In 2007 when we started in this space, only 5% of the homes had WIFI and we predicted that children of the 21st century need to each have their own device. Since then, especially post-COVID, we would estimate that all homes in Japan have WIFI.

While the children in most school districts have been issued laptops as part of the government's push to encourage coding and programming as a skill, we also feel we predicted this necessity. 

In many ways, we feel we were ahead of the curve in our initiatives but due to numerous circumstances, many other influences have confirmed our thoughts.

As we move forward,  more memory, and faster processing will be necessary. Your contributions to our project are helping the children keep up with their peers. There should be no digital divide for children who will live until the 22nd century. Thanks to you.
