While we are still accepting donations for computers into our inventory and have built an online store so that the homes can order free equipment, it is becoming obvious that with the demand is not that high.
We do not feel that it is a "Mission Accomplished" but with COVID, it appears that more and more children have a device whether that be provided by the national or local governments.
This is wonderful news of course.
Yet, we still have the computers and tablets as the base of an "open-faced sandwich" in the sense that this is the foundation of the courses and material that we teach and provide.
In some cases, homes in remote parts of Japan had smartphones for their children to access information on the internet in the group homes but now with computers of their own, they can not only do that more efficiently but it now allows them to attend our classes online.
Our teachers are working on software to introduce to the kids who have been using keyboards and a mouse for the first time to get them acclimated to computers to start with and then software and coding as follow-ups.
While there are 600 homes in Japan and we have approached them from different angles, we have also created the top 20 homes based on old and new homes that have requested equipment and feel that by having this focus, we can go deeper into the teaching in the homes but at the same time have more credibility to be introduced to other homes in the neighboring areas.
We appreciate your support and look forward to in this project until it really is "Mission Accomplished"
Thank you,
YouMeWe NPO
