Help victims of Japan Floods and Typhoon Jebi
In early July, heavy rains caused massive flooding in western and central Japan. Peace Winds responded immediately with search and rescue and provided relief supplies. Only nine weeks later the most powerful typhoon to hit Japan in 25 years made landfall, striking many of the same areas devastated by floods. Thousands from both disasters are living in evacuation centers. Your donation provides supplies and supports programs for the vulnerable people (especially elderly and children) in shelters.
Hokkaido, Japan Earthquake Relief Fund
A tremor of 7, the highest level on Japan's seismic intensity scale, was recorded in Hokkaido, Japan on Thursday, September 6th. The massive quake and ensuing shocks caused destructive landslides with at least 44 deaths and over 650 injured. Over 2,600 victims are sheltered in evacuation centers and 6000 households are without clean water. Your contributions will fund Civic Force's rescue operations and provide medical assistance at evacuation centers.
Hokkaido Earthquake Response
A 6.7M earthquake struck Hokkaido the northern island of Japan in the early hours of September 6, causing landslides which destroyed several villages in Atsuma Town and Mukawa Town. Operation Blessing is in the area delivering needed supplies and preparing to support a volunteer team that will help people clear their homes.
Lombok Earthquake Relief Fund
A 7.0 magnitude earthquake on the island of Lombok, Indonesia caused extensive damage on Sunday, August 5, 2018, killing more than 98 people and displacing more than 20,000 from their homes. Mexico Earthquake Relief Fund
On Sept. 19, 2017, Mexico City and surroundings including Morelos and Puebla suffered devastation from a 7.1M earthquake. Hundreds were killed. Homes, schools, and community buildings were destroyed. This followed an 8.1M quake in Oaxaca and Chiapas on Sept. 7. This fund will provide immediate relief to survivors: food, shelter, water, and medicine. In addition, it will support longer-term assistance to help residents recover and rebuild. All donations will exclusively support these disasters.
Rohingya Refugee Relief Fund
Extreme violence and persecution in the western Rakhine State of Myanmar have caused more than 650,000 Rohingya people, an ethnic minority, to flee their homes in search of a safe haven. Leaving almost all they own behind, the majority of those fleeing have crossed the border into Bangladesh. This fund will exclusively support relief efforts by vetted organizations working in the area that are providing emergency assistance and ongoing support to those in need.
