War crimes are being committed in Ukraine as hospitals are attacked, and citizens are displaced. Half of Ukraine's power grid is crippled, causing prolonged nationwide power and water outages. As a result, healthcare professionals are struggling in tough conditions. This, combined with massive state underfinancing, means that hospitals are desperate for help. We provide essential medical tools, supplies, and life-saving equipment to ensure effective medical care for children.
The WHO has reported over 700 attacks on Ukrainian healthcare. These war crimes aim to crumble the morale of those who cannot or will not flee. Despite ongoing deliberate attacks, Ukrainians are standing firm. But the war has worsened an already underfunded system, and hospitals must now rely on charitable help to provide children with healthcare. From medicines to supplying wards and surgeries with life-saving equipment, there are insufficient funds to afford everything needed to save lives.
BKC is committed to aiding children's hospitals and medical facilities by accessing the necessary lifesaving supplies and equipment. We help provide the following: surgical equipment, medical diagnostic equipment, durable hospital equipment, medical supplies and medicines, and child-centred ward refurbishments. We focus budgets so that the most urgent and vital requests are answered fast. The project specifically supplies healthcare facilities with the equipment needed for children's healthcare
As attacks on hospitals - aimed at displacing people in cities - inevitably continue, BKC is committed to answering calls for aid from hospitals needing emergency supplies and medical equipment that help save lives and ensure that children can access proper healthcare. This project aims to secure emergency medical supplies and equipment for Ukrainian hospitals to continue functioning and support those who cannot and will not flee, especially children.
