Challenge

Health concerns during this time include medical needs for hundreds of thousands of people that have been internally displaced within Ukraine and many others that have fled into refugee camps that have been established in the neighboring countries of Moldova, Poland, and others.

Solution

Drawing on its extensive history of humanitarian response, Direct Relief supports Ukraine through ongoing delivery of essential medicines and medical supplies. Direct Relief is helping increase access to a wide range of health services- including primary care, prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases, emergency medical services, and specialized care- while also providing critical support across the health system to address urgent and longer-term needs.

Long-Term Impact

The long-term impact will be improved health for people who have been affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
