Sorrow has come to our house. War has come to our country. People are losing their homes, jobs, health, lives. Ukraine is a peaceful country that had to face the attack of a large and militarized aggressor. Our enemy has no mercy. We have rallied and refugee and disadvantaged families in Odessa now receive humanitarian assistance, shelter and opportunity to flee Ukraine. But there are more and more such families and we critically need your support. We do everything in our power. Do what you can.
A full-scale military invasion led to humanitarian crisis. Millions of people have already lost their homes and jobs. Airstrikes are destroying cities and infrastructure. There are local problems with the products and medicine delivery. Odessa is transport hub which meet thousands of refugees every day. Many have lost loved ones or their homes have been destroyed. They are saving their lives and want to leave the country. People need to be protected from threats to their lives and poverty.
The Family Support Service provides targeted assistance for families affected by war. Service provides refugees with transit shelter in social hostels with full hot meals, food, clothing, everything necessary for departure, psychological, informational assistance. We are also preparing a shelter for families in a country house away from the line of fire. Every day we take groups of refugees abroad. We distribute food and hygiene kits for disadvantaged families that live in Odessa as well.
These activities help families go through the most acute, crisis period of uncertainty and horror, to minimize the risks of PTSD. They get urgent assistance despite the destruction of existing humanitarian institutions. Families will save their lives and health, will recover faster and return to a normal life after the end of the war. With equipped shelter in country house we will save more lives of women, children and elderly people. This will give the mobilized men confidence in their safety.
