Dear friends,
Thanks to your generosity and with the help of a few other sponsors, we have finally been able to buy the first music instruments. Together, we're making the dream of creating ARCA's music band come true!
After a few months of praticing musical theory, rhythm, percussions and breathing exercices with ARCA's music teachers Karina and André, and with the help of some volunteering musicians, a group of selected children and teenagers were able to try out for the first time their brass instruments : a pocket trumpet, a trumpet, a trombone, a saxophone alto, a flugelhorn, a transverse flute and 2 clarinets.
You can imagine the cacophony of this first intake but surprise and pride shined in the eyes of Arca's children when the first sounds came loud.
They now have their own instruments that are stored in the brand new closet and they can come and practice before class. Per week, each children will have a 15 minutes individual class with a specific teacher as well as band practice during an hour. We hope that more instruments will soon be joigning the band. But of course, all Arca's children are going on with percussions classes twice a week.
Arca's band will definitly be ready for Carnival 2023! Just come to Brazil and enjoy the show!
