Red MenTe, is a network for professional women, students of STEM careers, and women who are interested in these fields. Is currently working in Costa Rica as a National Network, launched by Ideas en Accion in 2015, currently it has focused on the +420 beneficiaries of the MenTe en Accion program.

Fundamentals of Technology Information Certification

Thanks to the partnership with Rocket Girls 17 young women that have previously graduated from MenTe en Acción take the classes from february 16th to may 11th, then were certified in CompTIA Fundamentals of Technology Information Certification, now they are taking classes to be certificated in Linux.. At this time, are 16 more women taking the classes for Fundamentals of Technology Information Certification.

Red MenTe follow up activities

We continue offering professional and personas opportunities; we have made 3 Facebook Lives with women in STEAM, they talk about their experiences and stories, and allows us to reach more women and not just beneficiaries of the program.

During the month of March we had 5 activities for the International Women's Day, were talks and workshops, from different topics, not just technical.

We had the Internet of things with arduino workshop, which was co-organized and imparted by our technical mentors. In this workshop, 20 beneficiaries of MenTe en Acción were able to learn about the Internet of Things and Arduinos in a practical way.

Family Sessión-Intel

This activity was carried out with Intel Costa Rica on april 27th, where relatives of beneficiaries of the MenTe en Acción program, postulants of the 9th edition and who were interested could learn about Intel and its current operations in Costa Rica, about what are the STEAM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) and the importance of supporting their daughters in the process of selecting careers historically led by men.
