After eight years, our students leave the LAP as graduates. In order to give them an edge to find a job, the students of the 7th year get a chance to pass their driving licence. The costs of the driving licence is $330 per student. The students themselves have to fund $30. The driving licence will make a huge difference once arriving on the job market.
In Burkina Faso, lots of young graduates are looking for jobs. Of course this happens in the agricultural sector as well, where it is often needed to be able to drive a tractor or a small car. This would be the case as an employee, but even more if you start your own business.
In helping them to get their driving licence, the students/graduates of the LAP will get a certain advantage over other job candidates and it would clearly help if they decide to start their own business.
At least 50% of the graduates from the LAP will find a job or can start a business thanks to their driving licence. On the long term, they will be able to get better income.
