Our team Whisper

This is a final report in regards to our Coronavirus emergency appeal fundraiser.

We would like to express sincere appreciation to all donors who donated to our hospital, so Whisper would be able to operate normally and also continue giving much needed medical care during one of the hardest public circumstances in Uganda.

Thanks to all of you, who contributed online or offline to our campaign, we were also able to offer 12 day free treatment to people from various communities, and keep our safety measures to the maximum.

Within the 12 days of free treatment back in May, Whisper treated 974 patients, donating medical services for £12, 292) + 60% of the actual cost that was £7375 that was topped up by our charity Whisper, to cover for all of the expenses for the 12 days, which makes a total donation to the community of £19,667 from the 29th of April to the 10h of May 2020.

Whisper delivered 10 babies, and performed 7 c-sections.
We also did major surgeries such as Exploratory Laparoscopy, Hernioorrhaphy, 7 Emergency Manual Vacuum Aspiration (for women who miscarried) and 1 Cervical Cerclage.

Whisper also did 75 gynaecological consultations and did 88 free ultrasound scans in this period.

Several emergency patients were also transported free of charge, mainly bleeding women and women in labour.

Whisper's hospital continues treating malnourished and anaemic children free of charge and with your continuous extra support, we hope to temporary lower the one-off cost for paediatric patients from £12 to £6 per visit or even less in the next few months.

Remember, for £12 our patients receive a doctor's consultation, several lab tests, and oral treatment + 7 day free doctor's review.

During this COVID19 times, Whisper managed to keep all of our staff members on full time basis, paid all of their salaries and even bonuses on time, and appreciated them with a COVID19 "Hero" certificates for their exceptional and fearless performance.

Shall you wish to (again) contribute to our endless work, kindly make a donation to our hospital via GlobalGiving here: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/help-a-malnourished-child-with-whispers-hospital/

For now, stay healthy & safe <3
