From September 5th to September 9th, 22 trusted nonprofits, 309 donors, and GlobalGiving came together in solidarity with Venezuelans. Together, we raised $24,333 + $20,000 in matching funds. Thank you so much for joining us to celebrate Arepa Day!
The funds raised will allow our nonprofit partners to provide essential resources, assistance, and hope to children and families who are facing immense challenges in Venezuela.
Every month, I will share an overview of the work that two of our partners are doing thanks to the funds collected. This time, I am sharing with you the work of America Developing Smiles and Autismo Dejando Huella.
The Salesian Women Association (America Developing Smiles) is an organization committed to supporting impoverished communities in Venezuela and Latin America by providing them with access to food, education, and health. Thanks to your donation, The Salesian Women Association will support Don Felipe Rinaldi school by providing meals to its students and teachers. Located in the San Francisco municipality of Zulia state, Venezuela, the school is in a highly vulnerable region and has a population of 956 students and 75 staff members. Here you can learn more about The Salesian Women Association and further support the projects they are implementing with Venezuelan children.
Autismo Dejando Huella is a nonprofit committed to providing comprehensive care and support to people diagnosed with autism. Thanks to your donation, Autismo Dejando Huella will provide medical services to people on the autism spectrum and their families. Here you can learn more about Autismo Dejando Huella and further support the projects they are implementing with people diagnosed with autism.
Once again, thank you so much for your kindness, empathy, and support. Together, we are building a foundation upon which Venezuelan children and families can thrive!
Stay tuned for the next monthly update to learn more about the important work our partners are doing thanks to your support.
With Gratitude,
Oswaldo + The GlobalGiving Team
