WICO was formed with the mandate and mission, to promote women's socio-economic participation; to promote women's and girls' fundamental rights; to promote women's and girls' primary health (including sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR); to fight gender violence against women and girls (VAWG); to address gender inequality through empowerment; address biological diversity loss and promote enviromental conservation; and promote community development for gender-based sustainable development.
