Every day, many adolescent girls in rural Zimbabwe face the harsh reality of menstrual poverty. Without access to pads and proper facilities, they miss school, struggle in silence, and face increased risk to their health. Poor sanitation and lack of menstrual products contribute to reproductive health infections, while stigma and shame isolate girls during a natural part of life. As the impact grows, it affects academic performance, confidence and self esteem. Consistent support is vital.
In low income rural communities, the majority of girls simply cannot afford sanitary pads and other hygiene accessories that promote menstrual hygiene. As a result, many are forced to rely on unsafe alternatives, miss classes or withdraw from school altogether during their cycle.
A girl who receives pads every month can stay in school, protect her health and gain confidence and self esteem. One act of support can restore dignity and transform a life. The rural communities struggles financially and this can be alleviated by a generous donation towards their menstrual hygiene and health.
A community of champions working to ensure that no girl child lacks access to menstrual dignity and health, replacing silence with dignity- one girl, one month, one future at a time. Long term donations of sanitary and hygiene kits will help thousands of girls access menstrual products every month and ensure continued attendance in school.
