Respected Donors,

Seasons Greetings!

It gives me immense pleasure to announce that Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) has started empowering widows (specifically) in Thar under its project "Income Generation Scheme for Women of Thar". This new idea has not only been appreciated by the local community of Thar but also by our respected Donors from all over the globe.

Under this new scheme, widows from Thar were initially identified and registered by CHCS. During the first phase, 50 widows of Thar have been handed over goats; enabling them to start earning livelihood for their children/ families. However, it is pertinent to mention that in the coming days, CHCS intends to deliver goats to the remaining widows as well thus uplifting the socio-economic condition of Thar in general and women of Thar in particular.

Since this new idea has been very well appreciated around the globe, therefore, the donors are requested to donate generously to this project so that CHCS may empower more women in Thar.

Regards,

Asif Mahmood Jah

More Sweet Water Wells for People of Thar

Respected Donors,

Seasons Greetings!

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) under its project "Drinking Water for Humans/ Animals of Thar" is striving hard to provide clean and safe drinking water to humans and animals of Thar. Hundreds of safe drinking water wells operated manually or through solar operated panels had already been handed over to locals which are providing safe drinking water to thousands of humans as well as animals on daily basis.

During the last quarter, 10 more water wells have been dug which are being operated through solar panels thus providing 24/7 sweet water to people and animals of Thar. As summers are approaching, CHCS intends to gear up digging of more water wells as, during this time of the year, people of Thar face difficulties in getting water for themselves and for their animals.

It is, therefore, requested by the donors from all over the globe to donate generously enabling CHCS to meet the demand of providing safe drinking water to the people/ animals of Thar.

It is pertinent to mention that water wells, on one hand, provide safe drinking water to the people and on the other hand, they have also been a source of earning for the people of Thar as a number of people are involved in the digging of the well who are paid a substantial amount as labor charges.

CHCS is particularly thankful to GlobalGiving's Foundation as with this collaboration the message of CHCS reached far and wide across the globe and attracted donors across the globe to donate for the project. CHCS intends to continue the project as long as possible in order to provide safe drinking water to as many humans and animals as possible.

Regards,

Asif Mahmood Jah

Ration being Distributed to a Poor Women

Respected Donors,

Seasons Greetings!

It gives me immense pleasure that Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is constantly and continuously helping the affectees of lockdown due to COVID-19. At present, Pakistan is in the grip of the third wave of COVID-19. Though there have been lesser deaths during the first two waves, however, this wave seems to be more drastic and is spreading at a very fast pace. In order to minimize the effect of this 3rd wave, GoP has announced lockdown once again in major cities of Pakistan. Resultantly, daily wages people are once again on the verge of facing shortage of daily ration for their families.

In order to address this very issue, CHCS along with continuing its campaign of spreading awareness among the people regarding preventing measures and now to avoid Corona Virus infection also distributing monthly ration to the families affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. Moreover, masks and Sanitizers are also being distributed among the masses.

Moreover, medical camps are being arranged to cause awareness and provide treatment in case of minor ailments. The welfare hospitals and clinics established by CHCS are causing awareness about COVID-19 and also providing treatment for minor ailments.

It is, therefore, requested to the global donors to donate generously in this difficult time and help CHCS in minimizing the effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regards,

Asif Mahmood Jah
