Hot lunches for 500 Cambodian children and youth

M'Lop Tapang works with disadvantaged children and families. We believe that education is a way to break a family cycle of poverty and to do this we provide a variety of education and training programs. We know it's hard to study if you are hungry and so we make free hot meals available to more than 500 Cambodian children and youth as part of their regular school day. These meals are not fancy, but they are healthy and filling and often the only nutritious meal a child gets on a regular basis project reportread updates from the field

Toys for Cambodian Children

Celebrate this holiday season by purchasing a toy for a disadvantaged Cambodian child. Not only will you be making a child smile, but you will also be helping vulnerable families in the local community; all the toys are made by parents in our Home-Based Production Program, a program that helps poor families develop a steady, safe source of income generation.

Supporting children and families in Cambodia

For more than 13 years, M'Lop Tapang has been working with vulnerable Cambodian children and families living in the coastal city of Sihanoukville providing shelter, medical care, sports, arts, education and training, counseling, family support, family reintegration, and protection from all types of abuse. Much of the work we do is directly in the neighborhoods that at-risk children hang out and vulnerable families live. We couldn't do this without having a reliable way to travel to these areas project reportread updates from the field
Cycling for Bikes and Running for Shoes

On December 6th some M'Lop Tapang staff and friends participated in the annual Angkor Wat marathon and bike ride. Some cycled 100 kilometers and others joined in the running races. They all sweated in out in the heat in an effort is raise funds to purchase 50 bicycles and 100 sports shoes/uniforms to give to the Cambodian children here. But the challenge doesn't stop there! In true holiday spirit, a generous friend will be matching all funds donated on this page until December 31, 2014. project reportread updates from the field
