Celebrate this holiday season by purchasing a toy for a disadvantaged Cambodian child. Not only will you be making a child smile, but you will also be helping vulnerable families in the local community; all the toys are made by parents in our Home-Based Production Program, a program that helps poor families develop a steady, safe source of income generation.
Cambodia is a poor country. The city of Sihanoukville continues to see an increasing number of poor street working and street living children and families. Sadly, these children and youth not only miss out on education, but become the most vulnerable children in the community, exposed to street and gang violence, child abuse, drug use, and isolation from their peers as well as the community at large.
1. Toys will be given to disadvantaged children that we work with. 2. All the toys are made by parents (mostly single mothers) in our Home-Based Production Program that helps poor families earn a safe income. 3. A portion of each donation will go towards supporting M'Lop Tapang programs that reach thousands of vulnerable children and youth in the local area.
Parents in the Home-Based Production Program will earn a safe, reliable income that will allow them to better provide for their children's needs.
