Progress Report

7 ironwood trees have been planted in May 2021 by students and their parents in Sai Tong Village and Nong Pla Village of Sai York District, Kanchanaburi Province. This tree-planting project will not only establish healthy forests but will make a mesasurable impact for local communities in the long run. It promotes awareness of natural resources conservation in the community. The pollutants captured by each tree will improve health, providing oxygen and fresh air. Community ownership will also be strenthened by engamement of different generations.

Final Report

Vocational training has been organized at PDA Banphai Center to provide continuous support to affected families from COVID-19 outbreak. Consumption and selling of home grown production will help families reduce household expenses and generate sustainable income. 

30 villagers from unemployed local families participated training on 28 August 2020, they have learned mushroom cultivation; mung beans and sunflower sprouts growing; organic insecticide making for vegetable gardens; soil preparation for seed nursery and biofertilizer making. Starter kits and packs have been distributed so villagers could get on their own growing immediately. 

Another two rounds of training have been held for 59 villagers on 18 September 2020 and for 71 villages on 5 October 2020 respectively. 

For all of our kind donors: Thank you for your generous gift to the project. We are thrilled to have your support. Through your donation 160 villagers and their affected families from COVID-19 outbreak have been able to accomplish training and continue working towards sustainable income generation. You truly make the difference for us, and we are extremely grateful!

Progress Report

  • Population and Community Development Association  PDA  works with unemployed local residents who lost their job due to COVID-19 outbreak to sew face masks and produce gel alcohol and provide them with vocational support. 
  • We donate the face masks and gel alcohol to people in need i.e. public health officers, village health volunteers at the screening point, government agencies from department of rural roads/department of highway who have to be in contact with local residents, monks. The masks and gel alcohol are also being donated to provincial and district hospitals and health centers in Mahasarakam, Khon Kean, Burirum provinces. 
  • To provide sustainable support to affected families from COVID-19 outbreak, we also support vocational training to these people to help make their life better. The funding will be used to equip unemployed local residents with knowledge to start home grown mushrooms, mung beans sprout, morning glory for consumption and selling to help generate sustainable household income. Training is planned to implement in late August and September 2020.
