Population and Community Development Association –PDA works with unemployed local residents who lost their job due to COVID-19 outbreak to sew face masks and producegel alcohol and provide them with vocational support.
We donate the face masks and gel alcohol to people in need i.e. public health officers, village health volunteers atthe screening point, government agencies from department of rural roads/department of highway who have to be incontact with local residents, monks. The masks and gel alcohol are also being donated to provincial and district hospitals and health centers inMahasarakam,KhonKean,Burirumprovinces.
To provide sustainable support to affected families from COVID-19 outbreak, we also support vocational training tothese people to help make their life better. The funding will be used to equip unemployed local residents with knowledgeto start home grown mushrooms, mung beans sprout, morning glory for consumption and selling to help generatesustainable household income. Training is planned to implement in late August and September 2020.
