On behalf of the Duncan Tree Foundation board of directors, and advisers, thank you.
We are very pleased to inform you that within the first month and a half since DTF's induction as a member of the Global Giving community, we are scheduled to impact the lives of two children. This would not be possible without your generous financial contributions.
Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, one of the world's leading spine deformity surgeons, has volunteered his time to work with DTF as we aim to treat our initial set of patients. Dr. Boachie-Adjei is an internationally recognized leader in his field, both for his medical expertise and commitment to non-profit efforts.
With Dr. Boachie-Adjei's guidance, and the involvement of local Jamaican physicians, we have identified our first two cases, which we anticipate treating towards the end of March. Dr. Boachie-Adjei himself will be performing the operations on these individuals.
In addition, we have secured the in-kind donation of spine implant kits and use of the required instrumentation from surgical hardware companies. These will be used in the surgeries for the two patients.
Thanks to your kind donations two young individuals will have new opportunities and a new outlook on life. We look forward to your continued financial support as DTF and our affiliates seek to meet the needs of 23 more this year.
