The project will train 100 unemployed youth in vocational training and aware them about peace building to increase their income generating capacity as well as to increase their role in conflict resolution in Dire Dawa. The long-term impact of youth empowerment can lead to significant societal changes, including increased civic engagement, improved economic opportunities, reduced social inequalities, stronger community cohesion, and a generation of leaders equipped to tackle future challenges
The youngsters in Dire Dawa have got economic and social problems. The economic problem is lack of employment opportunities and the social problem is youth are involving in ethnic conflict, illegal activities such as theft, gangsters, kidnapping and so on to sustain their lives.
The project has the capacity to turn the non- productive youth of the community into the responsible citizens who will work towards holistic development of himself as well as his society. As the project is highly beneficial for the society its day to day needs will be taken care of by the community members and other stakeholders.
The long-term impact of youth empowerment can lead to significant societal changes, including increased civic engagement, improved economic opportunities, reduced social inequalities, stronger community cohesion, and a generation of leaders equipped to tackle future challenges, by fostering self-confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of agency among young people, enabling them to actively participate in decision-making processes and contribute to their communities.
