Middle year and working hard
By Karolina Rojas Kolomiets | Alliances Director
It has been already six months since we started planning our 2022 activities, and we are very happy to have a lot of new supporters to Fundación Accion Joven. In line with our efforts related to employability, we have great news:\
- We have started workshops with the communities of Abangares and Nicoya, these communities are in a coastal province of the pacific side of Costa Rica.
- We are starting a new group of 20 young people to receive a scholarship in financial technician.
- We are designing workshops for young students related to employability, to work with 11 high schools.
Our efforts seek to improve the labor conditions in Costa Rica, which are very difficult in this pandemic times.
Thank you for the support to continue improving the life of hundreds of young people.

Starting 2022
By Karolina Rojas Kolomiets | Alliances Director
Starting 2022, from Fundación Acción Joven, we reactivate with strength our initiatives focused on employability. The context of the pandemic has affected the economy in Costa Rica, generating significant effects on the professional future of many young people nationwide. Therefore, the objective that we propose is to contribute with actions that improve the employability profile of young people, allowing them to adapt to changes in the labor market. For this year, we started with the following actions:
- Generate groups to strengthen employability with local governments in the province of Guanacaste, and impact 90 local governments in the country in institutional strengthening.
- Work with youth from public high schools in employability workshops.
- Execute workshops with young people from the Alternative Sanctions Program of the juvenile penal, on employability.
Help us be part of the change!!

During this year we have worked with young people seeking to improve their employability profile, from high schools and communities, impacting 98 young people by June 2021, with the execution of 23 workshop-type activities where we promote the development of skills and tools that allow them to improve your employability profile.
For the remaining period, we have planned the execution of virtual vocational tours, through videos that allow young people to learn about companies and their various areas of work, despite the challenges of virtuality.
Thanks to the support of important companies and committed people, every year we can have a major reach, updating our methodologies to the needs of youth and responding virtually or in person to new challenges.
We invite you to continue supporting.
