Thank you for standing with us in our mission to empower Pakistan’s youth as champions of peace. Our project, Youth as Change Makers: Promoting Peace in Pakistan, is a vital initiative designed to counter the rising tide of radicalization in Pakistan and worldwide by fostering meaningful dialogues between university students and experts. Through these discussions, we aim to instill critical thinking, social responsibility, and a commitment to tolerance.
We have carefully planned the project and identified key universities where these discussions will take place. The groundwork has been laid, and we are ready to begin. However, we are awaiting the necessary funds to launch the initiative. Pakistan ranked 162nd out of 181 in the 2023 Commonwealth Global Youth Development Index, with civic and political engagement among young people plummeting by 34.3%. The absence of dialogue and engagement opportunities has left many vulnerable to extremist ideologies, making this initiative more crucial than ever.
With the right amount of funding, we can immediately initiate discussions at these universities, setting the foundation for a larger movement. Even a single session can spark meaningful change, equipping students with the knowledge and tools to challenge divisive narratives. These initial efforts will promote peace and inclusivity while empowering students to be proactive change-makers within their communities.
Your support, through donations by spreading awareness, is essential in bringing this vision to life. Together, we can ensure that Pakistan’s youth are not only heard but are leading voices in the movement for peace and unity.
With gratitude,
Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development And Transparency - PILDAT
