Thank you for your continued support of Youth as Change Makers: Promoting
Peace in Pakistan. Your belief in the power of youth to shape a more tolerant and
inclusive society remains a source of strength for our team. Despite the delay in
receiving the necessary funding to begin physical implementation. Rather than
waiting passively, we chose to adapt. The urgency of the issues we seek to address
rising polarization, youth disengagement, and shrinking civic spaces compelled us to
find alternative ways to keep our mission active and visible. While the original plan
focused on in-person discussions at universities, we understood the importance of
using the resources already available to us: our voices, our creativity, and our digital
platforms.
As a result, we launched a dedicated digital campaign under the title
PILDATxGlobalGiving Awareness Week. This initiative is designed not only to
introduce our work to new audiences but also to reinforce our commitment to the
cause of peacebuilding in Pakistan. Through a series of four to five detailed posts
across all our social media channels, we shared key statistics, visual content, and
real-world examples that reflect the current civic and social climate of Pakistan’s
youth. These posts touched on declining youth participation, the consequences of
radicalization, and the critical need for informed dialogue spaces. Each post was
tagged to GlobalGiving’s official handles, allowing us to link our work with a global
conversation on peace and youth empowerment.
This online engagement helped us do more than spread awareness it gave us the
opportunity to test our messaging, understand what resonates with our audiences,
and build early interest in the project. It also reaffirmed that the problem we are
addressing is not only real but deeply felt by communities across the country. The
digital campaign served as a stepping stone, a way to remain active and accountable
to our vision even as we await the resources to move forward with our physical
sessions.
Looking ahead, we remain deeply committed to the goals of this project. We are
hopeful that future donations through GlobalGiving will enable us to begin the
university-based sessions as planned. No matter the form it takes, Youth as Change
Makers will continue to champion youth-led dialogue, critical thinking, and inclusive
civic engagement in Pakistan. We are grateful for your support so far and look
forward to the day we can share the stories, impact, and growth that your
contributions have made possible. The road ahead may be winding, but our direction
remains clear and we’re walking it with intention and hope.
We remain deeply grateful for your support. Your encouragement affirms the value
of this mission and keeps the project moving forward.
With appreciation,
Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development And Transparency – PILDAT
