One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to see firsthand the impact you're making—and over the past few weeks, I had the privilege of doing exactly that while traveling throughout Malawi.
Because of your generosity, I met families whose lives have been transformed by clean water, visited communities filled with new hope, and even stood beside some of the very first WWFA wells, still faithfully serving villages nearly 30 years later. Every stop was a beautiful reminder that your kindness is creating so much more than wells. You're helping children stay healthier, families build brighter futures, and communities thrive for generations. I look forward to sharing just a glimpse of what you made possible.
Update from the Field:
July was an unforgettable month in Malawi! Along with completing seven new water wells, our team spent three weeks traveling across the country, visiting and inspecting 58 WWFA water wells to see the lasting impact of clean water firsthand.
We also checked in on the progress of two donor-sponsored development projects: the Namikate Blossom facility and the Mbawa teacher housing project. Without water, the bricks could not be made to construct this critical infrastructure.
And perhaps most remarkably, we documented two of WWFA's very first water wells, installed in 1996. Nearly 30 years later, both wells are still flowing and providing clean water to their communities—a powerful reminder that the impact of safe water can last for generations.
From brand-new installations to water wells that have served families faithfully for decades, July was a beautiful picture of how your generosity continues to transform lives across Malawi.
Four Months Changed Everything in Zabiri Village
When our team first visited Zabiri Village, families were collecting water from a small hole beside a creek—sharing it with wildlife and facing constant illness. They had no reason to believe anything would ever change.
Just four months later, we returned to something completely different. Together with generous supporters like you, we had installed a new WWFA water well, transforming daily life with clean water, better health, more time for families, and renewed hope for the future.
