V. PROJECT REPORT “75 YOUNG SALVADORANS DEVELOP THEIR ENTREPRENEURSHIP (17382)”

 In order to successfully contribute to the human development of our Salvadoran youth and children; under the project 75 YOUNG SALVADORANS DEVELOP THEIR ENTREPRENEURSHIP, from October to December 2015, 52 youth and children were trained and developed their human, arts and entrepreneurial skills.

The Training process took place at the facilities of the Youth Center “Casa MOJE” we have developed four workshops of Teaching-Learning of Creative Development in the areas of "Drawing and Painting" and "Ceramic, Modeling in Clay."

The main and specific objectives of these trainings were:

Main Objective

• Promote the Art and Culture to the youth of Ilobasco through learning workshops in the area of the arts, involving the active participation of the young in the learning process. And thus, contribute to the prevention of violence that is affecting our young people in the Municipality of Ilobasco.

Specific Objective

• Develop teaching and learning workshops in the area of the arts, painting, drawing, and ceramics.
• Stimulate the creative process and youth entrepreneurialism through workshops.
• Raise awareness among the local population about the role of youth in their community by promoting artistic and cultural presentations.

Working Methodology

The methodology used in the development of the competencies was in a constructionist way where youth and children LEARN BY DOING, 20% of the training was given theoretically and 80% of practice.  

At the "Drawing and Painting" training the youth and children developed individual projects with the assistance of their teacher. Besides, at the "Ceramic, Modeling in Clay" training, the youth and children developed individual and groups projects having the assistance of their teacher as well.

Results Obtained

• 39 Participants graduated in “Drawing and Painting”
• 13 Participants graduated in "Ceramic, Modeling in Clay"
• Motivation and Recreation Workshops, with the aim of promoting leadership, confidence and team work in youth and children.
• 1° Art Gallery, where were exhibits of the art work done by the participants of the workshops for creative development, areas of "Drawing and Painting" and "Ceramics, modeling in Clay."

IV. PROJECT REPORT “75 YOUNG SALVADORANS DEVELOP THEIR ENTREPRENEURSHIP” 2015

      The following is a summary of the training “TECHNICAL TRAINING OF 15 YOUNG PEOPLE IN WOODWORKING, ORIENTATION TO THE WORK AND VALUES, AS DEMANDED BY THE COMPANY QUEIROZ GALVAO”, relating to the project “75 YOUNG SALVADORANS DEVELOP THEIR ENTREPRENEURSHIP.” The report we are presenting corresponds to the period from May 25 to June 6, 2015.

PLACE AND PERIOD OF THE TRAINING

The training took place in the town of Ilobasco in the facilities MOJE House Youth Center and had duration of 70 hours; in working days of 6 hours daily, from Monday to Friday and Saturday, in the period from May 27 until June 6, 2015.

OBJETIVES

General Objective

Develop technical skills in the area of carpentry which favor the employment of young people in the Department of Cabañas.

Specific Objectives

• Develop core competencies in the area of carpentry, in 15 young people of the department of Cabañas to improve the economic conditions of them.
• At the end of the process of training young people shall be competent to develop works of armor mold for masonry work.
• Young people will be able to assemble molds in height, working on scaffolding.
• Young people will be proficient in the knowledge and application of techniques to use tools and equipment for carpentry. As well as aspects of measurement and right cutting by applying occupational safety standards, demonstrating good vision, order, decision and responsibility.

METHODOLOGY OF WORK

"LEARNING BY DOING" was the methodology used during the training, was characterized by facilitating learning in the theoretical and practical, in a very participative way; achieving in the young abilities and wishes to develop the work assuming responsibility and commitment.

 RESULTS OBTAINED

• At the end of the training the participants were able to obtain the necessary knowledge for the development of molds for construction and proper use of machines and tools for carpentry. Having basic skills young people are able to be inserted into the labor market related to the construction.
• There were prepared different types of basic structures, frequently used in the construction industry, all this basis on the recommendations made by personnel of the QUEIROZ GALVAO Company, potential employer of young people.
