Your support for this project is much appreciated.
Health of women and families continues to be a high priority for this project. We believe that information and education enables women to be stronger decision makers and more confident advocates for their family's health. It equips them with knowledge to help prevent disease and to best manage illness if does arise.
Our project is based on the health needs that are most prevelant in the local communities. We find this information by working closely with the District nurse. We then, in partership with the District Nurse strive to educate women through workshops or individual support sessions to help them learn more about particular issues.
This is where your donations are so helpful. We can use the funds to develop resources that can be used as effective learning tools. Women have a range of learning styles and by providing information in different ways particularly with clear visual cues helps enhance understanding. Some resources can be used again for different work shops, others such as brochures can be taken home by the women so they can refer to them when needed.
We thank you for your ongoing support as we work with the district nurse and community members to develop understanding of health needs.
