As winter approaches, the Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF) continues its commitment to stand beside Deaf and disabled individuals and other marginalized families who are most vulnerable during the cold season.
With the generous support of our donors and partners—especially Limelight, Alkhidmat Foundation, Akhuwat, and many compassionate individual supporters—DWAF has been actively collecting winter clothing, warm shawls, quilts, and essential cold-weather items. These contributions are helping us prepare timely relief for families who otherwise struggle to protect themselves from harsh winter conditions.
Building on the experience of previous winter drives, our team is coordinating visits to multiple regions across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir, where the need is greatest. Priority is being given to Deaf individuals, persons with disabilities, elderly community members, and low-income families living in remote or underserved areas.
Each distribution is carried out with dignity and care, ensuring that families receive appropriate winter essentials that provide both warmth and comfort. For many recipients, these items are not just protection from the cold—they are a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
This winter drive reflects the power of collective kindness. Through collaboration and shared responsibility, DWAF and its partners are working together to ease hardship and bring warmth to lives that need it most.
We remain committed to transparency, impact, and compassionate service as this project continues.
