Happy Howlidays from our Pack to You!

By Nancy Brown | Project Leader

Happy Howlidays!
Happy Howlidays!

Wow, what a year.  2018 will go down in the books as a long, strange, busy year.

Long, because Mother Nature has not been kind to us.  Record breaking rainfall amounts and already a blizzard!

Strange, because of my foot surgery, I was only able to have limited interaction with the animals for a few months.

Busy, because playing "catch up" from the foot surgery seems to have made me crazy busy!

Our intake this year was higher than normal with 35 animals being rescued, from Animal Control Agencies and owners in crisis, including 12 puppies from the west coast.  We transferred several animals with other rescues, (7 in one case when the owner suddenly passed away and the animals were husky mixes that needed homes, rather than sanctuary), and found lifetime fosters for 11 lucky wolfdogs.  Our senior population stayed very healthy this year, so we are ending 2018 with 61 residents.

As an all volunteer organization, we are proud to have hosted 5 college interns this year.  Currently, our winter resident intern hails from India and is a student at Carnegie-Mellon University.  We love our volunteers and interns.

Because of your support and generosity, this year we were able to switch to a high protein, American made kibble, which has made the animals coats shine!  We are sending us a group howl in your honor!  Arrrroooooooooo!

Full Moon Farm Wolfdog Rescue and Sanctuary was founded in 2002.  As we enter our 17th year as a NC non profit and a 501 (c) 3 organization, we are proud to say Thank You to all our volunteers, supporters and donors.

In closing, we are grateful for the best year ever, and we wish you all the happiest of holidays and a wonderful 2019.

Joyous Howls,

Nancy and the Pack
