Happy Spring!
The residents of Full Moon Farm want to thank you all for getting us through a particularly long and nasty winter. We have not started to shed, so we don't think it is over yet! (Woofer coats are true weather predictors!)
March was met with a price increase from the manufacturers of one of our kibble brands. They have changed the formula, and reduced the bag size by 5 pounds each, which results in a net loss of more than 150 pounds per month, or $160.00 per month. We are electing to drop that kibble, and stay with the two other brands we have been feeding for years.
Full Moon Farm is an all volunteer organization, that is 12 years old. We have cared for hundreds of animals, and operate as a rescue and sanctuary, rather than an adoption and shelter. We are privately funded by generous folks like yourselves. Since 'wolfdogs' are myth-understood and mis-catagorized, we fall between the cracks in many foundation funding programs. You see, dog people think wolfdogs ware 'wolves' or exotic animals, and wolf people think they are 'dogs' or pets, we do not fit the conventional mold for sanctuaries or shelters. We do not facilitate adoptions, and find ourselves locked out of most pet funding opportunities.
Your generous donations keep the more than 50, full time residents fed, healthy and happy! We are grateful TO you and FOR you, as your donations keep our doors open.
Joyous Howlz from all of us here at Full Moon Farm!
