We are proud to announce that we have adopted six new children. We welcome Jharana, Yash, Sagar, Debaki,Basudev and Daniel to SANTI.  This makes us the caretaker of 30 children. On 21st June, we organized 'World Yoga Day' in SANTI in which all the students participated. Special classes are provided to the children to crack the Navodaya and Eklavya exams. We will continue to make more announcements and look forward for your support. We want to adopt 100 children and the budget is the only constraint that is preventing us from reaching this noble goal quickly. Please contribute to this cause.

Hello Friends,

We are excited to adopt three new children! Jharana is a 7 years old girl in addition to Eyas and Sagar 11 and 8 years old boys are new family member to SANTI. Each of them have their own unique circumstances and challenges and came to SANTI for help. We are committed to provide them a home with great heart. We will publish more about their experiences in our next reports.

Our brightest kid Poonam secured 1st position in Ranibandh Primary School annual exam. She is enrolled in a public school where children apart from SANTI are also studying. Competing with other children and topping the grade 5 is a tremendous accomplishment. She dreams to be an accomplished professional in future and we will support her.

A national cement production company, OCL sponsored the Annual cultural function of Ranibandh Primary School. Seven children from SANTI performed a group dance in that function. It was beautiful and awarded 1st prize in the competition. We feel great for the performance by Dipti, Poonam, Shila, Susanti, Sanju, Pami and Albina.

OCL mahila mandal, an association of ladies celebrated birthdays of SANTI children named Sukra, Jhubli, Sanju and Shila. We are thankful to local ladies for encouraging and embracing  our kids.

Holi is a festival of color and SANTI always celebrates with great enthusiasm. This year also we celebrated Holi with plenty color and great food.

We are thankful for your continued support for all of our children and activities. Without your support we won’t be able provide such life changing moments for underprivileged children.

 Thanks for your support.

Hello Friends,

Wish you all a great new year ahead from Santi team and children. We have achieved many new things in past quarter. Here are few important updates.

  • Two needy children from remote villages were brought to Santi’s attention. We readily accepted them. Jubli and Sukra are now part of SANTI and we are providing them full support of education, food, home, clothing and health care.
  • Albina, Punam and Jawra were qualified for Nabodaya Entrance Examination. If they succeed, then Government will provide full residential education support to them. Santi will still help them to grow and provide any of their need. As we believed to make them successful in their life. We will help them to stand on their own feet.
  • Dalmia Bharat Charitable Trust is generous to provide some volunteers to help SANTI children in Santi children learning activities.
  • In month of November, Santi and Mahila Mandal of OCL India Ltd together organized a cultural function at Santi Premise. Various students received prizes in that function. These were awarded by Chief of Mahila Mandal and Executive Director of OCL India Ltd. Prizes were awarded as below.
    • Sports – 1st Roshan, 2nd Punam, 3rd Sanju
    • Songs – 1st Suganti, 2nd Sanju, 3rd Pami
    • Dance – 7 children as a group.
  • In annual sports competition of Rajgangpur Municipality area, Roshan of 5th Grade achieved 1st position in 200 meter run.
  • Routine health checkup was conducted along with immunization camp for Japanese encephalitis.

Sharing a few things that happoened at our Child Care Center:

1)      An awareness program spanning over a day was organized by “Prajapati Brahmakumari Sansthan”(PBS) of Rajgangpur in SANTI premises. All the Child Care Center staff, the children and some members of PBS attended it. The emphasis was on importance of god, Yoga and on the life philosophy of PBS.

2)      Under the “Swachha Bharat” campaign the ‘Swachha Bharat Pakwada’ was organized in the SANTI premises. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) is a campaign by the Government of India to keep the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country's 4,041 statutory cities and towns and its rural areas clean. Our children participated in the essay writing, debates and drawing competition organized as part of this campaign. The theme for these competitions was cleanliness and its importance in the life of an individual and the nation.

3)      “Bana Mohotshav” was celebrated in the month of August(onset of Monsoon) with the help of the forest department.“Bana Mohotshav” is an annual tree-planting movement in India. The festival raises the awareness of trees among people, and highlights the need for planting and tending of trees as one of the best ways to prevent global warming and pollution. About 50 trees were planted in and near SANTI premises by our children.

4)      The school has started and the children are studying for the exams to be held soon. Also, they are participating in sports and other extracurricular activities. So, an overall development of personality is happening.

As the children are growing we would need more money on monthly basis to take care of them. So, our request is that if more people can contribute on a recurring month to month basis that would really be a big help. Also, those who are already supporting us on a recurring basis can if possible look to increase their contribution by a few dollars it would help us adjust for the inflation.

Lastly, a big thank you for all of you who have contributed in their own way to make SANTI possible and the progress that we have made and the difference that we are making in the lives of these children would not have been without your support.

Hello Friends,

Hope you are enjoying your summer time, as we are in SANTI. We are having so much fun and learning with kids that thought to share with you.

  • Computer Training – 6 kids from our child care center attended one-month basic computer training in SANTI training building. It was primarily focused on introduction to computer and computer use in our daily life. They have learnt a lot and enjoyed the training and few must have dreamt to work in this industry in down the road.
  • Yoga Day Training – On international yoga day, we conducted a yoga and meditation training to all our kids. This early program provides an exposure to mental peace and physical fitness. We will try to incorporate that in our daily routine as we do our morning prayers.
  • Holi was celebrated in with great color, joy and energy.
  • Relatives and parents meeting – We invited relatives and parents of Santi children to meet and provide feedback. They were so glad to see the overall growth of these children. They expressed interest to accommodate more children in our center. This builds the confidence to serve better the local community.
  • Health Checkup – Routine health checkup was conducted with help of Dr. Toppo. He also advised how to avoid heat stroke and importance of rehydration to keep body fluid balance.
  • School closing - For summer vacation school was closed from 30th April to 16th June. Children remained at center for whole days and were encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities.
  • Dam Visit – Santi children made a memorable trip to a nearby dam reservoir named Mandira Dam. A really nice place to spend some time with big trees and large water reservoir.

Thanks for continued support. We won’t be able to pursue such achievements without help of your donation.

Please help Santi children to stand on their own feet as we are by God’s grace.

Thanks
