Limited time for Korean Boxer mom and puppies (no graphic writing or photos)

By Stacy Cole | Donor Communications

This is a bit of a read but we have a mother and her pups who need a bit of your time.

We have tremendous power in voice and our social media reach. Sometimes it takes money to make things happen, other times it takes our voice but you know where I’m going. Many times, it takes both and a lot of it.

In the next several months we will announce new rescue partners, how we came to meet them, and how we are helping one another. Today I would like to introduce you to a rescue working in an area many of us can hardly bring ourselves to think about let alone work on the front lines with such dedication. Please welcome Bunny's Buddies

Please know you are safe to read this post, we will not go into details here nor do we want to cause anyone undue grief.

It’s out there taking place even though it’s so very shocking to believe. A topic SO difficult to face, difficult to write about, difficult to bring to you... but here we are and this is a girl and her babies that need us all. This is the Korean dog meat trade. This is more than they like dog meat vs we like beef or pork. What happens to these dogs, prior to slaughter, is nothing short of horrific. Should you want more info it can be found in numerous articles on the internet.

Let me say this and get it out of the way. Yes, we have so many Boxers/dogs in our own country that need our help but if we think our US dogs have been forgotten, the Korean dogs have ZERO chance without us. When we were asked to help, we said yes. Like the many pups we have brought in and put straight into hospice foster homes, so they didn’t die forgotten on a cold floor in a shelter, we can’t turn our backs on the situation brought forward to us. That is, this girl and her babies.

Bunny’s Buddies were trying to get a male, female, and puppies out together. In that time the male was sold for slaughter.

I know.. this is not our normal post. This is hard, I’m nauseous knowing the little I know- which is why I agree with our president that we must move to help. If we turn our heads, turn our backs, pretend this isn’t happening…. well, we just can’t. Bunny's Buddies works to save these dogs, they specialize in getting them out. After that, they need a place for them to go. We have offered the safe place to land. Our transport team is waiting to activate to CA to pick them up upon arrival. Our foster home are ready and waiting.

We need donations to help get them here. Time is of the essence. We have asked for donations via our Facebook page as well as asking here now. If you make a donation please note that it is for the rescue of these dogs. This helps us track our donations and allows us transparency.

We are also pleased to announce we have recently become a Platinum member of Guidestar- Each year, millions of people use GuideStar information to make decisions about nonprofits and the work they do. Donors explore charities and issues they want to support. Nonprofit leaders benchmark their organizations against their peers. Funders research grantees. We strive to provide the highest-quality, most complete nonprofit information available.

I hope you have had a summer of fun, family, friends, and made happy memories.

Feel free to contact us anytime you have a question or a way to help our efforts.

Thank you
