Cheers to a fabulous 2020! See where we have been

By Stacy Cole | Donor Communications

WOOF!

A quick end of year note to thank you all for supporting boxers in need. Your financial support and our volunteer's hands-on dedication has made it possible to take in so many grateful pups in 2019!

In our last report, we shared with you the story of Danica and EmmyLou. Danica has bounded off to her forever home and EmmyLou, as you can see, has blossomed into a beautiful hunk of a gal, just look how she holds her head up high now! I can't remember, did I tell you she is missing some 95% of a rear paw? Yep, we hooked her up with a bootie and she is now cruis'n with a sweet swagger. Let's find her a home!

Benito and Carina, our latest intakes, both young, emaciated and severe medical issues. Benito has a fully broken jaw and Carina an injured eye along with signs of being used as a bait dog. For her estimated 8 month age she appears to have gone through a terrible life to this point. Both will require technical surgeries, luckily for Carina, her eye itself will be fine, the operation will focus on her surrounding injured eyelids. I'm thinking their current pictures are not something anyone wants to see so I'll leave them out until they are thriving beautiful bouncing boxers once again.

I am attaching a few pictures from the year to show the efforts and love you have supported. Some are adoption day pictures, others I pulled from our Facebook adopter's page where our adoptive families share the joy of their pups with us. Look at the contentment and happiness in the pups and the families. Now just LOOK what you have done! Isn't it wonderful.

Should you live in the Portland, OR area, February 22nd will be our third annual Wags to Riches fundraising event. Dinner, Silent and Live auction, visit with adopters, volunteers, and wine tasting. Get it on your calendar and come see us OO and you won't want to miss the dessert battle royale!

Find more info on the event, as well as the rescue at Wigglin' Home Boxer Rescue. We also have a new swag store. Why would you want a shirt with our logo on it? Maybe someone will see you wear it and they have been fretting on how to properly rehome their dog. Maybe someone has been thinking about getting a boxer and hadn't thought of a rescue (it's amazing how few know about or understand what a breed-specific or all-breed rescue is). Funds raise through swag help us continue our efforts and your wearing our swag could save a boxer's life OR find one a new home OR put someone's mind at rest by allowing us to vet and rehome their pup to a loving family. Swag baby Swag!

In closing, we wish you the happiest of Holidays and a fabulous 2020. THANK YOU for your support, we can't stress enough that if not for your generosity we COULD NOT continue to deliver pups in need to our loving foster homes and see them to their forever homes.

Donations received help us continue to SAVE displaced boxers, TREAT and pay for major and minor medical bills and PROVIDE a happy, healthy home. TOGETHER we continue to make a difference!

THANK YOU!
