Dear Supporters,
Across Pakistan, persons with disabilities continue to face challenges that restrict their access to education, employment, and community life. Access to a wheelchair can help overcome many of these obstacles. Enabling individuals to pursue opportunities and live with greater independence.
Over the past few months, we have successfully distributed a total of 139 wheelchairs in Sindh. Of these, 35 were distributed in Karachi, 20 in Sujawal, 18 in Ghorabari, 1 in Sukkur, 9 in Tharparkar, 26 in Shaheed Benazirabad, 27 in Badin, and 3 in Larkana. Through these efforts, we have been able to extend mobility support to underserved communities, helping individuals lead more independent and dignified lives.

Nadia’s Journey Towards Education
Twelve-year-old Nadia from Rindu Khan Laghari has always dreamed of going to school. Born with a physical disability, she faced significant barriers to education due to limited mobility and the lack of a wheelchair.
Through NOWPDP’s assistive device distribution, Nadia received a wheelchair that has given her greater independence and renewed hope for the future. During the distribution, the team also assured her family that Nadia would be enrolled in NOWPDP’s newly established school in Nawabshah. Reflecting on the impact, Nadia’s father shared, “Before, when we didn’t have a wheelchair, there was no hope. Now Nadia can finally study like other children".
With improved mobility and access to education, Nadia is now one step closer to achieving her dream of learning and building a brighter future.
