Dear Supporters,

Mobility remains one of the most critical enablers of inclusion for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Without the means to move freely, access to education, employment, healthcare, and social participation becomes an everyday challenge. For many, a wheelchair is not just a tool, it is the key to reclaiming independence and agency.

With the support of your generosity, we have successfully provided 73 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in five cities across Pakistan. These mobility devices have reached individuals in both urban and rural communities, offering them a renewed sense of independence and freedom. Here's a breakdown of the distribution:

  • Karachi – 22 wheelchairs
  • Larkana – 7 wheelchairs
  • Lahore – 10 wheelchairs
  • Sujawal – 29 wheelchairs
  • Sukkur – 5 wheelchairs

Behind every number is a person whose daily life has changed. With access to mobility, individuals can navigate their environments with greater ease, and reach opportunities that were previously out of their grasp. These small, tangible shifts create a ripple effect—not just for the recipients, but for their families and communities as well.

Testimonial

Madiha’s life changed after an accident that resulted in the loss of her lower limbs. In the months that followed, her marriage ended, and she had no permanent place to live. She moved between homes, relying on friends and acquaintances while trying to regain some stability. It was a deeply uncertain time, but she remained hopeful that things could improve.

When Madiha first came to NOWPDP, she was using a worn-out wheelchair that made movement difficult and uncomfortable. During her visit, we were able to provide her with a new wheelchair — one that offered proper mobility and ease. This support gave her the physical comfort she needed, and more importantly, helped restore her sense of control and independence.

She later enrolled in an industrial stitching training program to build her skills, and then began working and earning through her craft. Today, Madiha rents her own apartment and supports herself financially. Her journey reflects the impact of timely, practical support, and the determination to keep moving forward.

Support the Next Journey Towards Mobility

There are still countless individuals waiting for the chance to move more freely and live independently. Your support can make that possible. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us provide a wheelchair to someone who needs it. Together, we can continue unlocking doors to opportunity, one device at a time.

Donate today and be a part of someone’s Wheels of Hope.

With love,

Team NOWPDP
