In the reporting period, we are running Nursery for saplings and planting Mangroves sapling in the coastal areas. Awareness generation meeting on conservation of Mangroves and Motivation for planting saplings in Vedaranyam and Kodiyakarai are being organised. After the effort, Mangroves conservation and survival are ensured 1550 people from the coastal villages and adjacent areas are participating in the programme. In the meeting, the importance of mangroves, new plantation and conservation are discussed with them. Conservation from cutting firewood and other purpose must be stopped. Fisherman community, students, youth and environmental groups are involved in the work
