We are now restoring sapling planting in wetland area. The saplings are being produced in the nursery and planted in the wetland. Further awareness meeting is being conducted in Kodaiyakadu, Kodiyakarai and Agathiyampalli for caring and conserving the existing Mangroves plants. 2550 people from the coastal villages and adjacent areas are participating in the program. In the meeting, the importance of mangroves, new plantation and conservation are discussed with them. Conservation from cutting firewood and other purpose must be stopped. Public as fisherman community, students, youth and environmental groups are involved in the work.
