In Malawi, since 2016, is carrying on the project “Water for All” with which pedal pumps have been bought to irrigate fields.
This item have guaranteed three harvests in one year instead of only one per year. However, the main purpose of the project is to make this people independent in addition to feed population as we did with the schools of ST. John district.
Moreover, the harvest is not for a single person but for the whole community that sometimes is able to sell the surplus and with the proceeds they buy clothes, school uniforms, fertilizers and pesticides.
It is very important to educate people to use these pumps correctly in order to avoid accidents and to do maintenance.
Last year Mkwanda village got 13 pedal pumps, however, in this moment Mpinganjira village needs a spring to get out of potable water to prevent diseases as cholera.
In the last trimester have been raised $140, but very little needs to buy a new pump for a family. We can do it with your support!
