We are thrilled to share with you the remarkable progress achieved during the second quarter of 2024. Thanks to your unwavering support and generosity, Stray Paws Loreto continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of street dogs in our community.

Major Achievements (April - June 2024)

Spay/Neuter Program Success During this quarter, we successfully spayed and neutered 62 dogs. This critical intervention not only improves the health and quality of life for these animals but also helps control the street dog population in our community.

Food Security Initiative We provided essential nutrition support by donating 16 sacks of food for strays to ensure our four-legged friends receive proper nourishment throughout the quarter.

Comprehensive Health Protocols Our team implemented complete health protocols for 15 street dogs, including spaying/neutering, deworming, and full vaccination schedules. This comprehensive care program ensured these animals receive the medical attention they deserve.

Community Outreach and Education We continued our robust social media campaign focused on pet care and responsible pet ownership. Our educational content provides valuable tips for community members on how to help street dogs in their neighborhoods, fostering a culture of compassion and responsibility.

Free Veterinary Services We launched a new initiative sponsoring a free veterinary clinic once per month for community members who lack the financial resources to provide medical care for their pets. This program ensures that economic barriers do not prevent animals from receiving necessary healthcare.

Your support funded 105 life-changing sterilization procedures ($3,937 USD)! These surgeries aren't just numbers—they represent fewer homeless puppies born into uncertainty and healthier lives for countless animals. Medical Miracles Made Possible

Together for Change: Milestones in Animal Welfare in Loreto

October Join sterilization Campaign

Dear Donors, Friends, and Ambassadors of Stray Paws Loreto AC,

As we approach the end of the year, we wish to share with you the progress and impact of our collective efforts in providing veterinary care and food for the stray dogs of Loreto. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in helping us make a significant difference in the lives of many animals and the community.

September Highlights

In September, we successfully conducted:

30 dog sterilizations to prevent overpopulation.
47 veterinary attentions, offering essential medical care to dogs in need.

October Highlights

October marked a milestone with:

286 dog sterilizations, an outstanding achievement to curb the growth of stray populations, through a joint campaign with Loreto Non profits
11 veterinary attentions, focusing on dogs requiring immediate care.

November Highlights

November brought:

56 dog sterilizations to maintain our efforts toward controlling the stray population.
20 veterinary services, which included vaccinations and emergency care, ensuring the health and safety of Loreto’s dogs.

Advocacy and Community Efforts

We are thrilled to announce the formation of the Loreto Pro Animal Municipal Committee in November. Stray Paws Loreto AC is honored to be a part of the board, where we will collaborate with local authorities to:

Support public policies that protect stray animals.
Prevent abuse and neglect.
Promote health and well-being for both animals and the Loreto community.

This collaboration reflects the goodwill of the new municipal administration, which, despite limited resources and budget, is committed to improving animal welfare in Loreto. Their dedication inspires us to continue our mission with renewed vigor.
