Tailoring and Embroidery Center Has Not Yet Begun

By Goerge Constantin | Founder

Dear GlobalGiving Team and Supporters,

We are submitting a transparent update on the Vestment Tailoring & Embroidery Center project.

The project is designed to establish a 200 m² production and training facility in Ghana, including tailoring classrooms, an embroidery hall, storage space, and a public sales outlet. The proposed center aims to train and employ 30 women and young artisans, strengthen local production, and create a sustainable source of income through tailoring and embroidery services. The current estimated project budget is USD 175,000.

At the time of this report, the project has not received the funding required to begin implementation.

Because sufficient funding has not yet been secured:

  • No construction or facility preparation has started.
  • No embroidery or sewing equipment has been purchased.
  • No raw materials have been acquired.
  • No participants have been recruited or trained.
  • No garments have been produced or sold.
  • No employment or income results are being claimed.

This project requires coordinated financing for the facility, industrial equipment, training, initial materials, and operational setup. Beginning with only partial resources could leave the center incomplete, equipment unused, or trainees without the tools needed to begin production.

For this reason, Constantine African Foundation will begin implementation only when a clearly defined first phase can be funded and completed responsibly.

Our immediate objective is to secure funding for the first operational phase, covering the essential facility setup, basic sewing equipment, initial materials, and training required to launch a manageable first group of artisans.

The long-term vision remains unchanged: to create a self-sustaining social enterprise that combines skills training, employment, production, and sales. However, we remain committed to reporting only verified activities and actual results.

Our request is clear: help us secure the funding needed to launch the first complete and responsible phase of the tailoring and embroidery center.

Thank you for your trust and for supporting dignified employment and vocational opportunity in Ghana.

With gratitude and accountability,

Constantine African Foundation
