Today, our hearts are with every Venezuelan family affected by the recent earthquake. Amid fear and uncertainty, we want to reassure you that our staff and their families are safe. Rather than being paralyzed by the shock, the Jenaro Aguirre team responded with remarkable compassion, preparing meals for hospitals and collecting clothing for the communities hardest hit by the disaster.
Although Petare was not among the areas most severely affected, our school buildings sustained minor damage. Compared to the devastation experienced elsewhere, our situation is modest, but these repairs need to be addressed promptly to ensure that our school remains a safe and welcoming place for the children in our community, who rely on us every day for care, nourishment, and stability.
True to our commitment to transparency, our priority now is to repair these areas so we can continue providing uninterrupted, comprehensive care to the children we serve. Watching our team step forward to support others during this crisis reminds us that the values we strive to instill every day—compassion, solidarity, and service—have taken deep and lasting root.
We know Venezuela is facing an emergency of enormous proportions, and the needs are overwhelming. Keeping our school safe and fully operational remains an essential priority, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support, which allows us to face the future with hope and determination.
Thank you for standing with us, today and always.
