Reopening the doors of Jenaro Aguirre for a new school year, 2026/2027, always fills us with enthusiasm. Seeing the boys and girls reunite in the hallways, the dedication of the teachers preparing each classroom, and the activity of the entire school community remind us of the purpose of our daily work.

The start of this school year takes place amid the emergency caused by the recent double earthquake. Our school's infrastructure sustained minor damage, which, thanks to the timely support of donors and partners, we were able to address quickly, and we managed to prepare the priority spaces for a safe return to classes. However, as we move forward with the work and the ongoing assessment of the facilities, issues have been identified in other areas that will require gradual attention to fully restore the school.

Having this peace of mind at school is what allows us to ensure that each of our boys and girls, from the youngest who are just beginning to those in their final year, receive the educational and human tools to build their future. Maintaining that continuity is the greatest form of support and stability we can offer to the families of Barrio 24 de Marzo.

Keeping our classrooms open and responding to infrastructure challenges is only possible thanks to the trust and continued support of partners like you. Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us
