What have we been doing since December 2020?

We want to tell you about the most recent activities we have been carrying out to continue providing education, food and health to the 400 students, their families, teachers, administrative staff and workers of the Jenaro Aguirre Elorriaga School located in the slum Barrio 24 de Marzo, La Bombilla, Petare:

Education:

  • In order to adapt to distance learning, 27 cell phones with the respective telephone line were purchased and given to each of our teachers, since this is the work tool that allows them to communicate with their students, sharing and receiving assignments.
  • We hired transportation services so that teachers who live far away were able to attend the school and use its infrastructure to prepare the necessary educational material to teach the virtual classes.
  • Distance learning classes began on Monday, January 18 and 100% connectivity between teachers and students has been achieved.
  • We hired an external consultant in distance education, who works directly with the school's management and teaching staff to design a work plan adapted to the new virtual reality.
