We will grow, produce and distribute vegetable seeds for farmers so that they are able to produce their own food and increase their nutrition, food security and incomes. The main problem with food production by the growing of vegetables is the difficulty in getting high-quality seeds. The commercial seeds are very expensive and inaccessible by the poor. We will utilize a 2-hectare farm solely for the production of seeds of different vegetables.
Producing vegetables for income and nutrition support by poor families is relatively easy but the problem is that high-quality vegetable seeds are difficult to secure. The seeds sold in the market are very expensive and farmers could not afford them. This is the biggest problem that a farmer face in the quest for self-sustainability and economic empowerment. There is indeed the need to provide them with high-quality seeds.
We will grow, produce and distribute to poor farmers high quality vegetable seeds in order for them to implement their gardening activities in a self-sustainable manner. The main problem they face is that they could not acquire vegetable seeds and we need to solve this single barrier they face. Aside from farmers we will be able to provide the seeds during times of disaster so local communities will be able to improve their food security.
The well-being of farmers and increase in food and incomes is easily solved by the growing of vegetables. The combination of sun, soil, water and manual labor by farmers is already present but the most problematic is the availability and access to vegetable seeds. By doing this means improvement in the well-being of poor families.
