Dear Donor,
In Kilifi County, thousands of children with disabilities remain hidden, neglected, or denied access to education due to poverty, stigma, and lack of specialized resources. Families struggle to provide medical care, assistive devices, and school fees, while many children face discrimination and systemic exclusion.
The statistics are alarming:
95% of disabled children in Kilifi South are not in school.
Over 20,000 people with disabilities were recorded in the 2019 County Plan, including 1,682 institutionalized children.
More than 600 impaired children in Malanga lack specialized care, with a high prevalence of cerebral palsy and microcephaly demanding urgent attention.
Our Intervention Strategy, Asante Aid, has been a lifeline since 1990, rescuing and empowering vulnerable children. Through this initiative, we will:
Enroll 300 disabled children in school – covering boarding placements, tailored learning materials, and assistive technology.
Expand healthcare and assistive devices – supplying wheelchairs, prosthetics, adaptive equipment, physiotherapy, and specialized medical care.
LongTerm Impact: To sustain this program, we will:
Introduce monthly membership fees and annual subscriptions for recurring funding.
Engage corporate sponsors and encourage inkind donations of learning materials and mobility aids.
Develop vocational training initiatives to create selfsustaining income streams.
Funding Need: Our total goal is $923,100, with nearly the entire amount still required. With your urgent support, we can break the cycle of exclusion and give these children dignity, education, and a future.
Call to Action: We invite you to stand with us in this urgent intervention. Your partnership will ensure that children with disabilities in Kilifi are no longer hidden but empowered to thrive.
Thank you for your compassion and commitment.
Warm regards,

This morning, Hassan put on his uniform without being told.
He tied the laces slowly, carefully, the way you do when something matters. Last year, Hassan did not rush to school—because there was no real classroom to rush to. No desk. No books. Sometimes no teacher.
Today, he runs.
Because of your generosity, his school now has desks, learning materials, and trained teachers who show up every day. Hassan sits in the front row. He raises his hand. He goes home and teaches his younger sister what he learned.
When we asked him what he wanted to be, he didn’t hesitate:
“A teacher—so no child is left behind.”
That dream exists because you chose to give.
Your Impact Is RealBecause of your support:
These are not just outcomes.
They are changed lives.
There are many more children like Hassan still waiting—for a desk, for a book, for someone to believe in them.
Your continued support can be the reason another child walks into a classroom with hope instead of fear.
Please give again today.
Together, we can keep these classrooms full—and these dreams alive.
Thank you for standing with us.
Thank you for changing lives.
