Suman
Suman

Married to a poor vegetable vendor, Suman lives  with her husband and mother in law in the  Arjun Camp slums of Delhi where the access to basic health care services is not available. Being a proud mother of a boy, her first child born safely in a hospital, Suman is extremely thankful to the team of doctor, nutritionist and community health worker in Sukarya, who supported her throughout her pregnancy till the delivery of her son. She speaks very high of all the support she received from  Sukarya, including the counselling diagnosis, lab tests, advice on nutrition, supplements like folic acid and  iron tablets. The professional guidance from Sukarya to opt for institutional delivery, helped her in delivering a healthy baby in safe environment.Suman is also very happy for the continuous support and guidance, she received, on post natal care by the community health worker who visits her regularly.
