The past three months was a good move of our organisational activities as our children have resumed their schools offline. We are glad to assist them in their activities and visit homes at few locations in person. Our children have successfully finished their schooling for the past academic year ( July 2021- May 2022). Here is a report of our activities that took place over this tenure.
Our children are getting ready for the next school year which begins from July 2022. As our existing children are getting ready, we have thousands of children who are approaching us for an opportunity to go to school. They await to make use of one golden chance through us. We contemplate on our goal to Leave No Child Behind For Education. Add value and make a difference by joining this noble cause as a volunteer or a sponsor.

Happy New Year 2022!
Compared to the first wave, the second has created more havoc around the world. The second wave mainly affected the younger populations. Like the first wave, the schools remained closed during the second wave and children continued their online classes.
Many children left school due to the socio-economic crisis that struck their families and a lot of them are struggling as 90 percent of parents lost their livelihood due to the pandemic situation.
Despite the crisis, Uplift a Child left no child, under our care, unattended without education. Though our activities were unusual compared to the rest of the years, we are glad to say that we have left no child without education. With the help of our local volunteers, we could reach out to the ones who could not afford digital devices and the internet.

As the world is facing an unprecedented challenge with communities and economies everywhere affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic, the impacts of the pandemic and the economic fallout have been widespread, but remain particularly prevalent in lower middle class and families under poverty line. Through the Socio-Economic Crisis during the Pandemic wave 2 In India, Uplift a Child International Team focused on how we can help best.
We raised about US$ 5000 to support 300 such families at 5 locations in Tuni, Visakhapatnam, Araku, Anakapalli and Hyderabad in South India, these families lost their livelihood. We provided them Medicines and Grocery Supplies for one month.
At the crucial time of Oxygen Scarcity, Uplift a Child team donated Oxygen cylinders to the most needy and kept ready many Oxygen Concentrators to meet the critical care. Many families were thankful for the thoughtful deed of kindness.

Our educational support to thousands of children in Asia and Africa in continuing with our sponsors support and God's blessings along with our wonderful volunteers. Uplift a Child has completed 20 years of “Service to Humanity” this year. Uplift a Child believes that every underprivileged child must have a chance for education. They should never lose the opportunity to go to school because they are poor.
All are equal and all are valued no matter what their background is. Without any discrimination of race, religion, sexual orientation, country of origin, etc., we have completed 20 years of service to humanity through “The Gift of Education”. It has already changed the lives of thousands of children across India, Nepal, Philippines, DR Congo, Kenya and South Africa.
COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us big time with our fundraising activities in the USA. While our finances were hindered, we continued our support to our children that were already enrolled in our program for many years. Most of the schools have closed for many months but have re-opened for few months continuing their syllabus. COVID could not stop our children from their learning and they have spent more time at home studying from their books. Our volunteers were able to visit them and assist them with whatever they could during this time. We went out of our way to help COVID-related activities in India and South Africa in 2020. Our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors, volunteers, well-wishers and all our partners in charity (Schools, Colleges, Book Vendors, Uniform Vendors, Shoe Vendors, Local agencies and Institutions and all the Governments)

The schools in DR Congo has actually started last month. They have started it late due to COVID19. Our children are safe and getting an education at school now. We are thankful to all of our volunteers for coordinating the needed help for all our children. We currently have 100 children there since 2016 and would like to increase another 200 of them in 2021 if we can get some new sponsors.
In India, Nepal, the schools have started only for the higher grades.
In Kenya and South Africa, the schools will being only next year.
