Every great project starts with a vision, but behind our vision are real children and families whose lives have been changed by war.
Over the past months, our team has been working on the foundation of STAV – a future rehabilitation and life-skills center for war-affected children and their families in Ukraine. While construction has not yet begun, important milestones have already been achieved.
We completed the concept design of the future STAV ecosystem, a place where children will be able to regain confidence, develop independence, and receive psychosocial support in a safe and nurturing environment. We also prepared the necessary permitting documentation for the creation of a therapeutic pond on the land designated for the project. This pond will become an important part of the rehabilitation space, offering opportunities for recreation, emotional recovery, and connection with nature.
For many children affected by war, healing is not only about counseling sessions. It is about having a place where they feel safe again, where they can learn, play, build relationships, and imagine a future beyond trauma.
One mother recently shared with us how difficult it has become for her son to trust others after experiencing displacement and loss. Stories like his remind us why STAV matters. Every plan we draw, every document we prepare, and every step we take brings us closer to creating a place where children like him can rebuild their confidence and sense of belonging.
We are deeply grateful to our donors for helping us move from an idea toward reality. Your support is not only helping us prepare a site; it is helping us build hope for children and families who need it most.
Together, we are creating a future where healing, growth, and opportunity are possible again.
