Uganda Water Project Update (As of April 2026)
Thanks to the generous support of the Rotary Club of Webster Groves, the First Congregational Church of Webster Groves, and individual donors, including known and anonymous supporters through GlobalGiving, Field for Humanity has successfully constructed 29 water kiosks, water points, and tap stands, now providing access to clean and safe drinking water to 116 villages and serving over 60,000 people in Pakwach District, Uganda. These water systems are significantly reducing the risk of waterborne diseases, improving public health, and easing the daily burden on women and children who previously had to walk long distances in search of water.
Beyond construction, communities continue to benefit from hygiene and sanitation education and from the active involvement of local women’s water user committees, which help promote proper use, routine maintenance, and the long-term sustainability of the water points. Improved access to clean water is already contributing to better health outcomes, reduced time spent collecting water, increased school attendance for children, improved household productivity, and stronger community resilience.
We are deeply grateful to our partners and donors for making this impact possible. The Rotary Club of Webster Groves, the First Congregational Church of Webster Groves, and the many individual donors who have supported this work through GlobalGiving have played a vital role in transforming lives. As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding our efforts to reach even more communities in Uganda without access to clean, safe water, bringing hope, health, dignity, and opportunity to thousands more families.
