When the Ugwumba SkillUp Programme was conceived, it began with a simple belief: talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. We met young women and youth with ideas, passion, and the willingness to work—yet they lacked access to practical skills, mentorship, and startup support.
Through SkillUp, those barriers began to fall. Participants who once doubted their potential gained hands-on skills, business confidence, and direct guidance from experienced mentors. For many, it was the first time someone invested in their dreams and said, “You can build something sustainable.”
Today, SkillUp beneficiaries are applying what they learned to grow small businesses, support their families, and become job creators within their communities. This transformation was made possible by donors who believed in people, not just projects.
By giving again, you are not only funding a programme—you are multiplying impact, restoring dignity, and helping more young people turn skills into livelihoods. Together, we can take SkillUp to the next level and ensure that no potential is left behind.
